The Now and Forever Fund

An endowment fund, that provides a permanent source of income through planned giving and investment.

What is the Now and Forever Fund?

Since 1959, Asbury United Methodist Church has been helping people know the love of Jesus Christ and preparing them to pass it on. To help ensure that Asbury is financially prepared to continue its work, not only today, but tomorrow, as well, we have launched the Now and Forever Fund (also known as an endowment fund). An endowment fund is a fund made up of donations that are kept into perpetuity in the fund. These donations are invested, and the resulting income from the investments can be used by the church for certain ministries and expenditures.

What is the Purpose?

The Asbury Now and Forever Fund exists to support and strengthen Asbury United Methodist Church’s campus-based ministries, extend outreach to underserved communities and ensure its ability to meet the changing needs of future generations. By contributing to the fund, you leave a lasting legacy, making a profound impact on lives through Asbury’s transformative ministries.

Gift Acceptance

Generally, all endowment gifts, approved and accepted pursuant to the “Gift Acceptance Policy,” will generally be designated to the General Endowment Fund for maximum flexibility, to be used for needs, ministries, missions, or the furtherance of other religious purposes, including but not limited to, capital improvements, special needs, programs, and property maintenance, to sustain the viability of the church.

You don’t have to be wealthy to give to Asbury’s Now and Forever Endowment Fund, and there are so many different ways to participate. You can participate by donating cash, stocks, personal or real property, as well as through annuities and insurance policies. And you can do what we call “planned giving” by naming Asbury as a beneficiary in your Will or Trust. There are so many ways to give.
