Weekly Update// Pastor Chris

Dear Asbury Family,

A baby changes everything.

Amanda and I are excitedly preparing for the arrival of baby Levi in April. Our days are filled with doctor visits, furniture shopping, room rearrangements, and trying to keep up with the boundless energy of Hannah and Noah amidst all the preparations.

The announcement of another addition to our family has brought about significant changes in our lives, and we are putting our hearts into making sure we are fully ready for this wonderful new chapter. Indeed, a baby changes everything.

Reflecting on this transformative experience, I’m reminded of Mary and Joseph, who understood firsthand the profound change a baby brings. Their unique journey extends beyond personal transformation; their child didn’t just change their world but continues to effect change in the whole world, especially when we open our hearts and yield our lives to Him.

In the spirit of the season, I invite you to join us for worship on Sunday, December 24. We will have one combined service at 10am in the sanctuary where Pastor Will will delve into the theological themes of Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Following that, we have two Candlelight Christmas Eve services at 5 pm(contemporary/family) and 7:30pm(traditional), where we will explore A Charlie Brown Christmas and share in the communion. All Sunday services will be livestreamed and include nursery for little ones.

As we reflect on this special time, I leave you with the poignant lyrics of Faith Hill’s 2008 song, “A Baby Changes Everything.”

Blessings,

Chris
