Weekly Update // Pastor Will

Hi Asbury Family,

We’ve got a meaningful and exciting week ahead, and I want to share a few things with you!

I’m excited to announce our upcoming Youth Missions Week, happening June 2, 3, and 4! Each morning, our youth will serve in our local community and around the church — and then head out for fun and fellowship in the afternoons.

This is more than just a service project — it’s a chance for our youth to live out their faith, grow in friendship, and discover the joy of making a difference together. As Jesus reminds us in Mark 10:45, “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.” When we serve, we become more like Christ and draw closer to one another.

All the details for Youth Missions Week are included below in a separate section of this email. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me directly at PastorWill@AsburyMaitland.org — I’d love to help!

This Sunday, we’ll continue our sermon series, “The Life We Share,”with a message from Pastor Durwood titled “Checking Our Alignment.” It’s a great time to reflect on how we stay grounded in God and connected to one another.

We’d love for you to join us for worship — either at our 9:30 a.m. Celebration Service, 11:00 a.m. Traditional Service, or online via Facebook or YouTube. No matter how you join us, we’re grateful to share this life of faith together.

And as always, it’s truly a joy to be one of your pastors here at Asbury.

Lastly, please note that our church offices will be closed on Monday, May 27 in observance of Memorial Day. We pause to honor the men and women who served and gave their lives for our freedom. We give thanks for their sacrifice and lift their families in prayer.

With gratitude and hope,
Will
