Meet Pastor Emily! A proud 7th generation Floridian, she earned her degree from the University of Florida before going on to study theology at Candler School of Theology. Emily serves as co-pastor alongside her husband John and is passionate about collaborative ministry that empowers clergy and congregation to accomplish big things together. When she's not at church, you'll find her in the garden or enjoying good music. We're so glad she's part of the Asbury family!

John Shughart
Co-Pastor
Meet Pastor John! An Orlando native and Edgewater High School grad, being appointed to Asbury truly feels like coming home. He holds degrees from FSU and Duke Divinity School (A true house-divided situation with Emily)
Before becoming a pastor, John served with AmeriCorps, did disaster relief work in the Bahamas, and worked in social services in Orlando. That heart for people shows up in everything he does. He loves connecting with others, helping them find their place at Asbury, and investing in the next generation.
When he's not at church, you'll find him watching college football or on the golf course. He'd love to meet you, so schedule a time to grab coffee here.
